The Moira Canal Festival is a sub committee of the Ashby Canal Trust, which has the aim of supporting the restoration of the Ashby Canal from Snarestone to Moira, and assisting with maintaining the currently restored sections of the Ashby Canal.
The Moira Canal Festival is held on the restored length of canal at the Moira Furnace, in May every year. As well as being a primary source of funds for the Trust the festival is also a way of publicising the canal works, and provides an enjoyable day out for all. We have many visitors who come every year to enjoy the mix of entertainment, craft and trade stalls and exhibits, boats and displays. 2025 will be our 23rd festival!
