The St Francis Community Centre, is in the heart of Hinckley, we have multiple groups that run from the Centre including weekly support groups such as a free coffee morning, a Lunch Club Social, a friendship cafe, parkin’s group, an art group, food bank and uniform organisations. We are currently looking for a book keeper. They do not need to be an accountant – however it is important that they have both the honesty and enthusiasm to want to do the job on a voluntary basis.
• Have the ability to maintain a basic accounts book.
• Familiar with Excel and or Sage. (We are open to moving to a different accounting package)
• Able to explain financial issues clearly.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Willing to produce quarterly account summaries, to deal with financial matters, and contribute to cost saving efficiencies
• Willing to work 3 hours each week in the Centre office with occasional extra hours for end of month/year. We are a friendly team and will support anyone interested all the way and will ensure a proper handover from our existing volunteer.
