Quintimacy is an independent Leicester-based company that has been holding events and safer spaces for LGBTQ+ adults (18+) all over the UK since 2018. We offer unique opportunities for somatic education, embodiment, consent, communication, diverse forms of intimacy and relating, and to create a supportive sex positive community with other queer and trans people. Our events are person-centred, trauma-informed and strongly based on consent, respect and high ethical standards. We are accessible to LGBTQ+ adults who are also disabled, neurodivergent and those with intersecting marginalised identities, and also aim to increase affordability by offering a sliding scale and lower cost places to those on lower incomes. Beck Thom is a sole trader who is certified and insured with an enhanced DBS, and a history of social work, youth and community work and safeguarding, as well as volunteering with LGBTQ+ community projects. Beck, like many of the people who benefit from Quintimacy, has chronic illness caused by Long Covid and requires additional support to ensure Quintimacy can continue to offer these rich and valuable spaces.
