The Foxton Inclined Plane Trust is a heritage charity that preserves and interprets the historic Foxton Inclined Plane and canal engineering heritage at Foxton Locks in Leicestershire. We operate the Foxton Canal Museum and develop educational and visitor experiences that explain the remarkable Victorian engineering of the Inclined Plane and the wider story of Britain’s canals.
Our volunteers play a vital role in welcoming visitors, supporting the museum shop, and helping deliver educational activities, tours, and school visits. We are looking for enthusiastic people who enjoy history, working with the public, and helping bring this unique heritage site to life.
