Adult Volunteers Wanted – Oakham Scouts
Our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are growing, but we need more adult volunteers to help us keep places open for local young people.
You don’t need any Scouting experience – we’ll support you and provide the training you need. There are lots of ways to get involved, depending on how much time you have:
Section volunteers– help regularly with Beavers, Cubs or Scouts
Activity volunteers– share a skill, hobby or activity with our young people
Occasional volunteers– help with camps, events or activities when you can
Behind-the-scenes volunteers– help with admin, fundraising, communications or organising
Whether you can give a few hours occasionally or want to become a regular leader, we’d love to hear from you.
Come and be part of something positive in our local community and help give young people the opportunity to try new things, make friends and have adventures.
Depending on your role this could be admin from home, or with the team at group meetings at Oakham Scout Hut,
Scouts – Mondays – 19.00-20.45
Beavers – Wednesdays -17.30 – 18.30
Cubs – Thursdays – 18.30 – 20.00

Our funders ask us to report on the age, gender, ethnicity and location of volunteers who use our service. All reporting is anonymous.
We will share your name and contact details with the relevant organisation as part of your application to a volunteering opportunity.
