BUILD – Building up Individuals for Life and Development is all about empowering people, communities and businesses across rural Leicestershire.
We support people to overcome barriers and discover their potential by building confidence, learning new skills and gaining experience through volunteering, training, employment and self-employment. Just as importantly, we help people feel more connected to their local area.
By working alongside local groups, businesses and residents, BUILD sparks new ideas, activities and community-owned enterprises, helping rural communities become more vibrant, supportive and full of opportunity. At its heart, BUILD is about people coming together, sharing strengths and creating positive change locally.
VAL is managing and delivering the BUILD project in partnership with the Rural Community Council and CASE. The project is funded by the National lottery Community Fund.
