The IMB has a small number of people inside each prison who attend 2-3 times per month. Its a volunteer role and the key aim is to observe and monitor the treatment of detained people and to report on whether they are being treated fairly and humanely. Also to ensure prisoners are being given support to turn their life around. Its a challenging and rewarding role, we need people from all walks of life to join us, form part of a local prison board and do something amazing.
