Whetstone Good Neighbour Scheme (WGNS) is made up of a group of local volunteers committed to helping those residents of Whetstone who are in need of short term assistance. Examples of services provided:
– Lifts to appointments, local shops and visits
– Help taking pets to vets
– Collecting Prescriptions
– Light housework on a short term basis
– Light gardening in case of illness or injury
– Dog walking in case of illness or injury
– Help with shopping
– Befriending
– Reading
– Help with the internet
– Filling in non-financial forms
– Help moving furniture
– Minor DIY
– Changing lightbulbs and fuses
