About the organisation:

Full Details:

We do not have a location yet, so training will be held in Melton and practical experience gained there as well. No previous experience of mobility scooters etc is required as full training will be available but mostly it will come from experiencing first hand the needs of our customers.
Keeping our scooters in good shape is key so you will gain hands on experience of how they work (and occasionally, why they don’t!) but do not fear, you do not need to be mechanically minded or a tech guru as it is mainly about common sense and having someone more experienced on hand to help.
At this stage, being available for training will fit within our opening hours of Tuesdays 9.30-15.00, Fridays and Saturdays 9.30-12.30, so the exact hours for volunteering can be tailored to suit both your requirements and ours.
You will hopefull be at the forefront of plans to have the Oakham branch up and running with ideas and energy.

When and Where:

Melton for training and initial experience with the opportunity to work in Oakham when that gets sorted.
